Originally, I'm from
Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. I made a major life change back in 2006, when my then boyfriend asked me to marry him -- and I moved to California. We settled in Encinitas, CA, and pretty quickly I started plotting away on
my future goals and dreams. It didn't take me very long to realize that my hobby of cosplaying and random extravagant costume building should be taken more seriously -- so here we are, now in Los
Angeles. I have a history with costuming from a very young age, as my parents were both creative individuals. It became a ritual for Halloween to make our own costumes, something that I loved to do, even more so than going door to door for candy.
I am a Costume Design major (Certified from LACC), and still looking to
further my studies into a bachelor's degree, as well as seek work in
my field. I will never give up being a nerd, as my upbringing with games and animation are deeply ingrained within me. I still attend
local conventions and plan at least 2-3 complicated costumes per year to
keep my skills sharp. My husband and I enjoy to do pair costumes here and there, with our most recognized as Mia Fey & Godot from Ace Attorney.
